Exclusive: Louise Povlin is Working to Send Your Kids to Hardin Valley

The Citizen Monitor has been able to confirm from multiple sources that Alderman Louise Povlin is and has been actively working to stop a badly needed new school from being built near the Povlin residence in Farragut.

Alderman Povlin has a history of abusing her position for personal gain. The Citizen Monitor has covered previously how she voted in 2019 to fund the Farragut Business Alliance and since then the FBA promotes her business, Anytime Fitness. This is unethical and needs to be illegal. Recently, the Farragut Press reported that she did not want the FBA to support businesses not in Farragut. One can reasonably assume that she does not funds and resources to be diverted from her business interests.

Our sources have stated that if Knox County Schools do not build this new school near the Povlin residence that the only option is to send Farragut children to Hardin Valley. This would be a huge traffic nightmare. Many parents have told the Citizen Monitor that they spend upwards of 45 minutes to drop off and pick up their children.

Not only has Louise Povlin voted for years to overbuild Farragut, but according to our sources, she is now abusing her position to stop a needed new school from being built in Farragut.
